"This may very well be the biggest game in the Royals history. Even bigger than the one playoff game the team was in back in the league's inaugural season.
We have fallen so far in the ensuing years. 1 - 15 in 2101. 2 - 14 in 2102. Starting the 2103 season 2 - 7.
Now, here we stand at 5 - 2. A victory against the Admirals will put us in first place in our division. It will give us at least the #3 seed in the conference, possibly even higher pending the results of games involving the Barbarians, Red Dragons, and Jumbos. To be in a position to have a home playoff game and perhaps even a first-round bye is huge, even if it's only the halfway point of the season.
The Admirals are our biggest rival. They have owned us from the beginning. I believe we have beaten them only once in the history. To defeat them at any time is a big deal, but with the division title and potential playoff seeding on the line, the motivation to win should only be higher.
To top it all off, this on our home turf. Our house. In front of our fans. If we can't get fired up for this game, I don't know what we can get fired up for.
