Looks like the game already lists Thunder Bay as eliminated

OK, grab yourself a drink, sit down and get comfortable. This could take a while.

#1 BARCELONA BULLS 14-1

Having beaten Mumbai way back in week 1, the Bulls are locked in at #1 spot.

#2 MUMBAI JUMBOS 13-2

Locked in and secured having beaten Kimberley in week 7

#3 KIMBERLEY DIAMONDS 12-3

Locked in

What's all the fuss about, very straightforward so far. Next up, the GB&I division for the #4 seed.

#4 Nelson Admirals and Tiger Bay Sabretooths are veryvery difficult to seperate. They split the H2H, both are 5-1 in the division, 10-2 in the Conference and somewhat bizarrely 2-5 against common opponents (non divisional)

So after that I think it's Points differential (Admirals +123, Sabretooths +86) or Points scored (Admirals 327, Sabretooths 302). Meaning should both teams get the same result in week 16, Nelson almost certainly advance as the #4 seed.

Potential scenarios

A/ Both win, Both tie or Both lose: Admirals advance, unless Tiger Bay have a big points swing in their favour
B/ If the teams have differing results the team with the best divisional record take the crown.

#5 Black Forest Elves 9-6, Tiger Bay Sabretooths 9-6, Nelson Admirals 9-6, Jeddah Djinn 8-7 and Beijing Red Dragons 8-7.

If one or more teams get to 10-6

A/ ELF, NA and TBS all win: All qualify #5 would go to either TBS or NA on superior conference record 8-4, 8-4 and 7-5
B/ IF NAD or TBS lose and ELF Win/Tie #5 would go to ELF
C/ IF NAD and TBS both win or tie and ELF lose #4 and #5 would go to NAD and TBS

#6
BEIJING
Beijing Red Dragons 8-7 must beat Black Forest Elves so that both finish 9-7, Jeddah Djinn 8-7 would have to tie or lose, Nelson Admirals and Tiger Bay Sabretooths finish #4 and #5 with neither side losing. That would put the Red Dragons in a head to head with Black Forest which Beijing would win by virtue of the week 16 win. IF Beijing are in any multiple team scenario they are the first eliminated with the worst Conference record.

JEDDAH
IF Jeddah win, they can take the #6 slot from Nelson Admirals or Tiger Bay Sabretooths or Black Forest in 2-team tiebreakers.

IF it's a multiple team tiebreaker then Black Forest will be eliminated due to their common games record being worse than Jeddah's.

To sum up

Beijing only get in IF BRD beat ELF, NAD and TBS don't lose and JED don't win

Jeddah get in if they win and at least one of TBS, NAD and BFE lose

Black Forest qualify with a win or tie. IF they lose they are out

Tiger Bay and Nelson can only miss out IF they don't win the division and Black Forest and Jeddah both win.

Elves @ Red Dragons
Smoke @ Admirals
Chilli Peppers @ Sabretooths

The Sim has been wrong before (apparently). If the scenario(s) I've outlined playout I think they qualify - play to win and cross your fingers.

So, I watched our game, one which we controlled and gave nothing away until a 96 yard TD in the final minute.

Not to worry, I'll see if Tiger Bay got the win they need for the division. Oh dear, a bit of a nervy start but comfortable win. Congratulations Tiger Bay.

Ok, what about Black Forest if they lose we're in and they're out. Didn't you just know they'd come from behind to win. Their stellar defense keeping Beijing out of the end zone.

Now we're panicking, Jeddah Djinn need to beat Thunder Bay and Lois Menard is throwing interceptions like confetti.

Ah well, there's always next year. Only ourselves to blame after a woeful first half of the season saw us 3-6 after 9 weeks. The switch at Head Coach and QB were pivotal for the season and going forward but in the end we shot ourselves in the foot again.

Good luck to all going forward.

The first ever meeting between the two teams, Roanoke start as strong favourites but Tabasco look to match up reasonably well. The critical factor looks to be turnover margin. Tabasco are going to need to play strategic game, keep the score low and avoid turning the ball over.

The Chilli Peppers D has to prove that they are elite level against an elite level offense - given their struggles against Tiger Bay last week, Roanoke will win this by 10+ points

Arguably the most evenly matched game of the weekend. Montego Bay will look to control the clock and give Cusco's flying receivers less opportunities to make a difference. Again turnovers look to be the main seperater and that tips the scales in Montego Bays favour.

This has mismatch written all over it with Kimberleys passing game expected to shred Jeddah early and often. Once again turnovers look to be a key element if Jeddah are to make this competitive.

The teams met last year in the only meeting between the two teams to date. Kimberley ran up the score in an 83-23 victory at the Genie's Lamp.

Elves @ Sabretooths

Another pretty evenly balanced game. The Elves are tough to score points on and Tiger Bay are struggling with injuries. Black Forest are not built to chase down a score, to win this they are going to need to keep the score close and force turnovers.

Tiger Bay should win this, if they can move the chains consistently. In what promises to be a game of field position, the Sabretooths should get more opportunities to get into scoring positions. It may end up being a 12-9 sort of game but I'm siding with Tiger Bay to get the job done.
